Computer Literacy Challenges
In modern world, information technology has become important for regular communication, information sharing, planning and socialization for younger generations. Ngo-Ye (2015) stated, students are ‘savvy’ in using world wide web and email, but lack skills in using basic computer literacy and use of standard software and this identified as a crucial challenge in e-learning systems.
Computer literacy is defined by Tsai (2002) as “the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes needed by all citizens to be able to deal with computer technology in their life” and it has been identified a fundamental skill and “critical educational need” of the time (Taper, 1997).
